What Is Sealing Wax?

To start us off - we should probably talk about the wax itself!
Sealing wax is a waxy material that has been designed to melt easily, hold an impression when stamped; then harden once cooled.
Traditionally, sealing wax was used to send letters safely during the days of squires and knights without fear of tampering. Also used as a status symbol, having a seal was reserved for royalty and prestigious professions such as lawyers or doctors.
Wax seals have come a long way since then, however they still hold true to creating a look of elevation and importance.
Now used on everything from wedding invitations and crafting to branding and packaging – the uses for wax seals and sealing wax are endless!
